Mural to celebrate local Olympian Kye Whyte in Camberwell: calling local artists
A unique opportunity has been launched to celebrate local hero and Olympic BMX silver medallist Kye Whyte through a public mural commission.

Artists can apply to create an inspiring public artwork on the wall at the bottom of Masterman House opposite Burgess Park. Kye used to be a resident of Masterman House, and the BMX club where he trained is in also in the park.

This exciting initiative, as we approach the 2024 Olympics, is led by Poets Estate’s TRA, Camberwell Arts and the Camberwell Identity Group.

Applications are welcome from artists who live, work, or study in Camberwell to submit their proposals by 27th July.

This is a chance to contribute to the community and honour a local sports icon. For more details and to apply, please email: Camberwellmurals@gmail.com and camberwellartsfestival@gmail.com

Further details are on the Camberwell Arts website.
