To celebrate Car-Free day, Southwark Council are encouraging residents to have a street party between the 20th September and 22nd September. To continue Camberwell After School Project’s fundraising efforts CASP are organising a Community Street Party on the 21st of September 2024. Concurrent we will be celebrating CASP’s 39th anniversary. Southwark Council has agreed to the closure of Badsworth road on the 21st September to accommodate this event. Part of Badsworth road will be closed between 11:00am and 16:00pm.

Join us for a fun-packed celebration, offering a wide range of free and paid activities catered to people of all ages including:

  • Egg and spoon races
  • Sack races
  • Tug of War fight
  • Bouncy castle
  • Face painting sessions
  • Raffle prize draw
  • Bake Sale
  • Fire Brigade Visit where the children can learn about fire safety.

Tabletop Sale

And for those looking to declutter or earn some extra cash, the table top sale provides the perfect opportunity – for just £10 (or £7 if you bring your own table), you can reserve a spot to sell your unneeded items, keeping all the proceeds for yourselves. We are also interested in any local artists who want to take part in the tabletop sale to sell your paintings, drawings, digital art, jewellery, textiles and more!

Volunteering

We are looking for people to volunteer their time to act as stewards for some of the events. Please get in touch if you are interested. If any talented bakers want to contribute to the bake sale please also bring your cakes, cookies etcetera with you on the day!
