Foodies everywhere are welcome to our very first Camberwell Food Festival: Eat Around the World on Saturday 18th May 10am-6pm on the green – come down and enjoy a feast of flavours with stalls from our amazing local cafes and restaurants at this gastronomic gala!
There will be cooking demos, tastings, food passports to delicious dishes, food walks, bars and chocolate foundations and much more!
Bring all the family – with bouncy castle, kids’ creative workshops and active fun and games.
Join us on Camberwell Green for an unforgettable journey through tastes, sounds, and sights. The Camberwell Food Festival: Eat Around the World is your ticket to a world of culinary exploration.
Don’t miss this chance to support local, taste global, and celebrate Camberwell’s multicultural community through a feast for all senses.
FOOD STALLS FROM AROUND THE WORLD: Delicious food options from four continents and an al fresco dining area. From Madascar’s Madagasy food to Gambian benanchin (the original Jolloff rice) and Vietnamese BBQ, veg curries, Mexican fajitas, and a fountain of authentic Venezuelan chocolate! Not forgetting Spanish paella, charcuterie from France,authentic greek street food and from Italy pasta and cakes from the Amalfi coast.
FREE COOKERY DEMOS: Learn to cook dishes from around the world. Collect ingredients for cheap and cheerful dinners. 11.30am-12.30pm: Spring Community Hub food charity • 2pm: Join Tafe and her Zeret Kitchen team will unveil the secrets behind some of their favourite Ethiopian flavours! 12.30pm and 1.30pm Cake icing with Margaret’s Cakes of Distinction.
TWO BARS: Quench your thirst with local beers, wine and beverages and more – from Clarkshaws Brewery real ales to Veraison Winestastings, Mooboo Bubble Tea, a mini cider brewery and healthy juices.
FREE FAMILY FUN & CRAFT STALLS: Bring the whole family for fun and games – bouncy castle, penalty shoot out, Zorb balls, seed planting, drawing & painting workshops and more from Amuru Charity.
LIVE MUSIC: Groove to the beats of live music while savouring delicious dishes from local vendors – from the Celtic sounds of the Scottish Session (12.30-1.30) to Mr Swing Easy reggae and soul vinyl from Pearl and Toby – listen on Soundcloud.
