The 2020 annual general meeting of the Friends of Camberwell Green will be held at

The business of the AGM will include:

• considering the future of the site of Camberwell Green Magistrates’ Court, including hearing from Matt Derry, senior regeneration manager at the London Borough of Southwark, about the borough’s aspirations for the redevelopment.

• hearing from Street Trees for Living. They worked with the community to plant over 200 trees in the borough of Lewisham in 2019/20 (www.streettreesforliving.org).

• electing a new committee for 2020/21.

Nominations for membership of the Friends’ Committee for the 2020/21 year and for the offices of Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer of the Committee are very welcome. Nominations must be received by the Secretary by Tuesday 22 September 2020; must include the name of the nominee and the name of the seconder, and (where relevant) the Committee position being sought; and may include a very brief statement (no more than five sentences) as to what the nominee wishes to help the Friends of Camberwell Green to achieve by standing for the Committee and/or position. A list of the nominations received along with the brief statements will be circulated by the Secretary to the membership of the Friends no later than Thursday 24 September 2020. Nominations for membership of the Friends’ Committee for the 2020/21 year and for the offices of Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer of the Committee may also be made at the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 29 September 2020.
