Help keep our older people connected this winter – Link Age Southwark launches ‘double your donation’ Big Give Christmas Challenge

Local charity Link Age Southwark is aiming to raise £10,000 in just one week to support their work providing vital transport services to older people, people living with dementia and their carers. Link Age Southwark is taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2022 between 29 November and 6 December – and you can help!

Link Age Southwark’s volunteer drivers, escorted taxis for those living with dementia and their carers and the use of an accessible minibus for larger events help over 250 local people leave their homes to attend a warm and safe space for social, exercise and activity groups organised by the charity. Many of them were hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.

As the difficult financial situation and wintry weather now bite, these journeys will become even more important. Link Age Southwark relies on donations to make them happen, as well as the other services they provide free of charge.

If Link Age Southwark can raise their target of £10,000 in online donations during the week of 29 November to 6 December, this money will be doubled thanks to a Big Give Christmas Challenge ‘pledge pot’ of £10,000. So your donation will have twice the impact! Here’s how you can help:
