Improving planned orthopaedic care – an event for Lambeth people

Improving planned orthopaedic care – an event for Lambeth people

The NHS in south east London is trying to improve services for non-emergency patients who have their orthopaedic care (eg hip and kneed replacements) planned in advance.
We are considering changes that might require a formal public consultation.

To inform this we want to speak to specific groups of people – those who are most likely to need orthopaedic care and who could be affected by any changes we might make. We’d like to talk about the changes we are considering – whether there is anything missing, and our approach to consultation. We want to make sure that we do the best we can to get views in so that any future consultation will run well.

This event is for you if you –

  • live in Lambeth and are
  • an older person
  • a disabled person or
  • a carer

We’d like to hear from you too if you have had or think you might need a hip or knee replacement because of problems you are currently facing with your joints, bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles or nerves. We want to improve services for people who have this type of care, planned in advance. Community organisations working directly with these groups in Lambeth are also warmly welcome.

We will explain our ideas and plans at the event, but if you would like to find out more before coming, you can visit the Our healthier South-east London website

Light refreshments will be provided.
Please register for this event here

If you have any queries please phone 020 3049 4444 and ask to speak with a member of NHS Lambeth CCG admin team.

With best wishes and we look forward to seeing you on 30th September.

Big Park Sleepover

Heads up! Grab your FREE family ticket to the Big Park Sleepover!

Thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign at Spacehive, the Big Park Sleepover 2016 is on!

This free event includes a fire workshop, cooked dinner, story telling before bedtime and breakfast the next day. We’ll have lots of activities including foraging and cooking, bushcraft, plant art, and circus skills as well as lots of games and fun. Bedtime is 10pm and we will ask all participants to strictly respect the curfew.

The Big Sleepover is a joint project between Father Nature and Myatt’s Fields Park Project (MFPP), with support from the London Regiment & Army Cadet Force who will provide stewards, overnight patrols and camping equipment.

As this is a family event no single adults (over 16 years) will be eligible, and all under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Half the places are reserved for low income/unwaged families who will be provided with camping equipment if needed. All Lambeth & local Southwark residents are welcome.
Book tickets online for the Sleepover at Myatt’s Fields Park on Sunday 28th – Monday 29th August via the Father Nature website or the Myatt’s Fields Park website: http://www.myattsfieldspark.info/sleepoverapplicationform.html
